Tournament: "When Champions Fall, Legends Rise"

Yes, another corny name, but I was just thinking right now..."what should I name the new tournament?". And I got that idea from a recent Starcraft 2 post on GG.net :). Haha but yeah guys...drum roll!!!!!!....*crazy drum roll from Dave Grohl*...I present you the second tournament I will be hosting this year and hopefully not the last. Here is the information:




Now the last time I hosted a tournament, there was some issues of people thinking it was an hour earlier or later(don't remember). So just to help you guys, its the SAME TIME AS LAST TIME. So whatever time it was for you the last tournament we had, its that same exact time. So yeah.

So please sign up if you wish to participate, all prOxi members are welcome, and i'm pretty sure Dwain won't mind if non-prOXi members join in as well. The tournament setup, the brackets, and the rest of the information will be 3-4 days before the tournament starts. But you have a date and a time :) so Dwain, make sure you don't have company that day haha :) <3.

Also, if there is a majority rule of people saying they can't make it, I will change the date to better accommodate everyone. I just think this is the best date to do it because its right before Thanksgiving and I know a lot of us will most likely be going out of town that week.

Start practicing guys. Winner gets some prOxiteam love, featured in a showcast by either me or maar, and one night with Jarc and maareeks mom AT THE SAME TIME.

I'm in! Btw I was just wondering if we should make the tournament earlier so we don't have the same problem as last time where maar had to play his games at like 3-4am in the morning.

Absolutely not. I am bold, enigmatic, enthralling, possibly even flamboyant, and I could never be confused as being tentative.

That said, I may or may not make the tournament. Can't really be sure. Depending on various subtle nuances, not the least of which being whether I'm home or not, my presence may have to be omitted. Then again, depending on those same variables, my esteemed presence may be dumping on all of you come game time. Just no way to know yet. But I'm not tentative.

In regards to moving the time table ahead one hour: as far as I know I'm the only one that would really help, and I'm pretty used to going to bed late anyway, so it's not a big deal for me. I don't really feel like I lost any games to Gil last tourney because of the time I was playing at, and I'd hate to inconvenience our Aussie buddies's Saturday just to help me out a bit. Especially since it seems unlikely I'll be making the finals this time around, as I've hardly practiced at all since the last tourney. But whatever you guys decide is fine with me.

Alright. Well it depends on the Aussies if they want to make it an hour or two earlier. I really don't mind, it was about 3am my time. It's not that bad, only thing is that late I can't talk on the mic. But regardless my roommate goes to bed at like 11pm because he likes to sleep early for some odd reason, so its up to the Aussies.

I'm fine with it being a bit earlier... As it stands it's the afternoon on a Sunday so I don't see a problem with it being sunday midday or morning or whatever.

Alright so far the tournament with four confirmed players is not going to happen. I want to have atleast 8 so we can get a quarterfinals in atleast.

Alright guys I'm cancelling the tournament. Just not enough people signed up. Maybe next time. Sorry.

Here's an idea. Set the date back a couple weeks, then post a completely new thread in NEWS! Give it front-page status and it's bound to get more visibility.

If you do that, I will get onboard helping to promote it, we'll get enough people.

When I see this news post (and you will do it because I say so! hehe), I'll lock this thread and add a link to the news post.

Remember that we're still waiting on the return of a few players, so this kind of thing will get easier soon. Hosuk Shin comes out of military service soon. Kurt is getting the game soon I believe, he just got a new computer. Clash still hasn't got the game too I think.

Not to mention I think I may be recruiting some of our new interested website members. ^_o
