Title pretty much says it all folks,
Tell us you're new builds that you've been stealing ladder points with!
These could be a variation of an already popular build or some obscene craaaazeh build that only you have mastered!

I'm making this thread with the intentions of insight and learning. I want us to be able to look at each other's personal builds, evaluate them, learn from them and possibly find a new way of looking at the particular match-up.


Here's a guideline to follow to make things clearer for everybody. You don't have to follow everything in the guideline but it would make things easier.

Matchup For Build (Race played Vs Race fought):

The opener (Your opening strategy for the build):
A breif description of what the build includes (Specific units you're :
What you're supposed to achieve ("Victory" is not an acceptable response):
Advantages (What it works well against etc.):
Disadvantages (What is doesn't do well against or dies too etc.):

Also can we keep the idle banter to an absolute minimum, it's okay to discuss things within the thread as I'm going to make an ordered list in the below reply but I don't want to be sifting through pages of bullcrap.

Matchup: ZvP

Name of build: The Nat Steal

Opener: Start out with a regular gas pool and get ling speed and a queen. Pull drones off of gas when you have 100 gas and make a hatch at your expansion once you have 300 minerals. I'm sorry, I meant his expansion. Send 2-3 drones to your forward hatch and make spines there. Remember to make a lot of zerglings. If you manage to successfully take his natural, mine the shit out of it.

Things to keep in mind: This doesn't work vs forge first, it's meant to beat 3 gate expand. Often they won't even know that you're taking their nat, hide this as long as possibe. When they do spot the expansion they have 2 choices; either they move down the ramp and try to bust you, or they tech up and try to get out of their main some other way. In my experience lings, spines and spores are usually enough to hold any busts or air/dt shenanigans. Just remember that you're playing 2 base vs one and you're mining out his closest expansion, so just play it cool. He must not have a proxy pylon anywhere.

What you're supposed to achieve: Cheesing protoss. God knows they deserve it

Advantages (What it works well against etc.): 3-gate expand, tech builds in general

Disadvantages (What is doesn't do well against or dies too etc.): forge expand, maps with too open naturals that allow run-bys.

Replays!: I don't play this game lol
