Some things I've discovered from Blizzcon 2010.
- As you would expect, when the ladder season resets, bnet still remembers if you're a ballin' gosu or a scrubby spaz.
- They will be introducing new little icons that will indicate how good you are within your league. That is to say, a low diamond player will have a less fancy icon than a top diamond player.
- They are introducing a 'Master League' for the top 1-2% of players on a given server. On top of that, there is another league for the top 200 players on a given server. This is called the 'Grand Master League'.
- Public & private chat channels are code-complete. Currently in internal testing. They hope to give them to us in november or december.
- They are currently making huge plans for massive amounts of web integration. I'm not entirely sure what they mean by this but perhaps this means they might be exposing some kind of web API :D
- We will be able to watch replays with friends next year.
- They have developed a new custom map uncreatively called 'Blizzard DOTA'. It looks to be quite awesome though, and is a DOTA (duh) map based on all the heroic Blizzard characters of current and past games. Imagine teams such as Kerrigan/Raynor/Duran/Fenix/Tassadar versus Deckard Cain/Diablo/Baal/Mephisto/Tal Rasha - FUN!
Video:
- You will be able to view historical data on your SC2 performance, i.e. what your top rank was for previous seasons etc.
- They will be implementing a 'featured replays' feature, which will (I think he mentioned the home screen in sc2) display popular and 'hit' replays from big recent tournaments etc.

All pretty exciting stuff so far. Keep frequenting this thread, as I will be updating it.
