Hi Fellas,
I have a present for you all.
So the
replay section has actually been active for some time now. But I've been a slacker and neglected to alert anyone about this. Veom knew about it 'cause he was on teamspeak listening to me rage while I was writing it, but I think nobody else knows about it.
How does it work?Well, we're using
sc-replay.com. I chose these guys because their site is plain badassery. I like what they're doing there. Also, they have this little
auto-uploader application which is fucking baller, and if everybody uses it (please do!), we should have a pretty constant stream of new replays.
I wrote the replay page to grab our players' replay details from sc-replay.com so we don't have to worry about replay storage or any of that garbage, which enabled me to write the feature quite quickly and easily.
OK OK OK how do I add myself to that replay page?! >:(Well, you have a profile on sc-replay.com whether you like it or not. If there are replays of you on the site - they have a profile for you. You can (if you wish) register at the site and associate it with your player profile. Nevertheless, the first thing you want to do is find your player profile on there (use their search function).
Once you find your profile page, you should see something akin to the following picture:
My profile
What's important here is the little orange subscribe button on the right there. You want to right click that and copy the link to your clipboard.
Once you've done that, come back over here to your favourite website - proxiteam.net - and edit your account details. You'll see there's now a field called SC-Replay.com Replay Feed. You want to paste the link you copied from that subscribe button, into this field.
I've already done this for a few of our players I found by searching sc-replay, so if you're already on the replay list, you don't need to do jack. But I do suggest you download their auto-uploader, it's really nice.
Anyway, please enjoy the replay feature and suggest any changes if you have some ideas for it.
Kindly,
Your humble programmer servant.
