Once upon a time there was a dragoon, and his name was Larry. Every day, Larry went to work at a major broadcasting company, where he worked as a "heavy support unit." Larry had a bit of a problem staying away from the chocolate covered overlords, and he wasn't too bright - he was a dragoon after all - and he made a lot of mistakes, but he tried hard and everybody liked Larry, as long as they didn't wind up with him on their project team nomsain.
One day, Larry and his buddy Bubba, a reaver, were walking to work. Now, Bubba's bulb was even dimmer than Larry's - some folks even said Bubba was dumber than an American - and he suggested they take a different path to work, through the lot of an abandoned warehouse near their competition's broadcast station. As they were walking, Larry heard a shrill chirp that sounded familiar, like something from back at dragoon school - where they teach new dragoons how to walk up ramps - but he shook it off and continued chatting with Bubba. Suddenly, the dirt beneath them shifted and small metallic discs popped out of the ground. They began to skirt towards Larry and Bubba. With growing fear, Larry managed to make out the small letters "MBC" on the discs before they reached him...
Unfortunately, Larry and Bubba carried a secret to their graves. Long ago, before the coming of the Two, there were many of their kind, and they all had good jobs with different companies - living their lives and having fun. When the Two arrived, though, things changed. Many of the jobs dried up, and the work became sparser for the ones who retained theirs. Eventually, the people in charge learned that they could just use Larry and Bubba on their shows, and supplement them with generated renderings. With time, the rest of the dragoons and reavers disappeared. Larry and Bubba were the last of their kind.
Their company, OGN, still had copies of the renderings, but they had been supplying the competition, MBC, with those same renderings, for a fee, for quite some time. OGN expected MBC played some part in the deaths, so they negated the rights to the renderings, threatening to sue over any circumventing. Subsequently, MBC had to change from a broadcasting company to a hosiery store.
