Hey guys, just lettin' ya'll know that I've been participating in a lot of tourneys recently.
One in particular is the sc2sea.com GPD tourney and the sc2sea.com Open tourney.
In order to qualify for the Monthly SEA Master's Cup I had to either place top 8 in the Open Tourney (Since I missed the prior Master's Cup qualifiers). I was knocked out of the Open tourney in the second round to a Cannon Rush on Xel' Naga Caverns in a bo1 (you know how they put those 3 pylons to behind your mineral line to block you).
A bit of rage came from this and I was feeling resistant to participating in anymore of these tourneys. However, I quickly got over this and decided that it was NOOB STOMPING TIME.
So I waited until Sunday and entered myself in sc2sea.com's GPD Tourney. If you place top 8 in the GPD tourney you also qualify for the Master's Cup. I didn't think it would be as easy as it was because I've played some damn good SEA players in my time laddering there, however, without sounding biased it was a bit of a walkover. The tournament was run very smoothly and quickly, and I was in the finals within 2 hours of the start of the tournament. I hadn't dropped a single game on my way to the finals. The finals was a bo5 and the guy I was versing was no noob to PvP.
I pwned him, only dropping one game because I did a retard move command.
It was no biggy to be honest, a 64 player tourney with a popular SEA caster called "Benji" (who is fucking shit caster btw). I won $10 and a new graphics card awarded by FaDeDoNe for outstanding play.
I put my prOxi tags on(correctly this time =DDDDD) and the end of every game I made sure to say "proxiteam.net gg" in chat the chat channel, (wasn't able to do it in the games because they left before I could say GG back).
The final bracket can be found here: http://www.sc2sea.com/tournaments.php?do=view&id=88
It also has my name, with the prOxi tags and all, on the frontpage of www.sc2sea.com.
I can upload the replays and give a brief outline of what happened if you want, but that would make me look less pro because the average standard of play from my opponents was about Diamond level.
If any of you Aussies have accounts on SEA I recommend doing these tourneys, it's good fun and a great way to score some fame. I even had a good chat to Kelly and FXOfrequency :P.
