What do you guys think?

Proxy 2 gate might be an issue but maybe not with proper scouting. The salvage nerf makes me cry a little. The spore crawler buff seems really situational and makes me wonder what statistics blizzard is looking at. I guess that will help with dt's?

Fair changes on terran but, cant argue with those.

so wait, protoss gateways make units faster than warpgates? that changes the whole game?

Pretty sure warpgates still have shorter build times, just not by that much. In the grand scheme of things you still want to always use warpgates, you're just better able to to put on/hold off early pressure now using gateways.

Warp gate time is exactly the same. warp gate research time is 40 game seconds longer. This effectively changes early game timings for protoss, and makes the 4gate later. IMO the 4gate will now be what it should have been all along, a cheap trick for an easy win. Goodbye combatex grandmaster rating.

In my opinion, they should've increased the time it takes for a gateway to warp into a warpgate, making it much more of a difficult decision because the protoss has to go without functionality of that building while it happens. Even if it's just 10 seconds or something, I mean the barracks is useless while the reactor builds and the reactor takes forever, meaning there can be times when you don't want to build a reactor just yet, but this doesn't really hold true for the warpgate where if you've got the research, you definitely want to change all your gateways into warpgates.

Very solid point, just adds a little bit more management for a protoss player and his warp gates, and just like terran they have a point where it isnt as important, but it doesn't make a big difference later on in the game. Only question I would have is if they do that then what happens to protoss early game pressure builds and defence?

I actually however would prefer to see your change to warp gates. Like reduce the warpgate research time by 10seconds (not from the current proposed time), and make the change like 35 game seconds to change to a warpgate.

Are you kidding? warp gate comming like 20 seconds later in zvp is pretty huge (assume chrono boost)

The warpgate tech upgrade changed but not the warpgates themselves. Warpgates are exactly the same as before but come around 30sec later, similar to the stim nerf.

SotG made a good point, its now going to be gimmicky. Well more gimmicky, now it's just going to have to be like a real surprise. Cant wait to see how combatex will adapt his builds. Probably 3gate+stargate = voidray rushing. Like a nub.

2 gate is boosted, sure it will cause some problems but i rarely fall victim to it, it doesnt worry me that much tbh
