I need an idea!

So for one of my classes this semester, I need to create a program which involves networking to some degree. So I can make what ever program I want it just needs to utilize computer networking.

Now the reason I am asking you guys is because I want it to be starcraft related! My original idea was some kind of starcraft 2 chat client but thats a bit boring. Another idea was a client which u can use to download replays from a server then run them directly from the client. But i really don't know do you guys have any suggestions?

that replay thing sounds cool but hard. it would be cool if we had something on the web sight we could upload all the sea tournaments too and it make a scedule. pretty much could just be a thread though...

Dwain came up with an interesting idea. Its a starcraft 2 card game where each player is given a set number of cards. Each card represents a starcraft unit. You can then play the cards in a certain way or something (Details don't matter). Then the server will act as a referee between the two clients playing the game. I think its pretty cool

It's basically pokemon cards lol but with SC2 units, and played via network. Shouldn't be difficult.

Lolz, IT Major here, but I was business orientated and focussed on Project management, so my advice is, simplify the idea as much as possible, and then deliver efficient implementations of what you are attempting to create. Optimization is key in networked software ;)

Uhh figure out how to have multiple people watch sc2 replays at the same time...

Some type of ftp for replays on this site would be good since its not implemented yet.
