Thought this was really really interesting. If they do end up announcing NA sc2 league i will be so stoaked. Would be awesome not to have to wait for MLGs to see the top NA guys going at it. Fight, get in it.

Yeah, I've been following this hype pretty closely.
I'm not sure Incontrol is able to do something as big as a North American event the same scale as GSL... However, if he had enough sponsorship and assisting companies etc... could be pretty cool :D

I think the GSL will still get more views and be better just because of the skill level of the players

yeah there are a lot of rumors flying around i guess. just see what happens. if they made a competition to rival the GSL, i think it would be a little sad. I like that people have to go to korea to play the best, kinda makes it more special.

OK so yesterday they had the timer on their site all fucked up and not compensating for timezones so anyone NOT in LA got the wrong time.

Anyway, it finished counting down thismorning and then the Idra v Jinro Clash of the Titans Showmatch began.
Spoiler - Clash of the Titans result
Jinro 4-2 Idra in epic games!
After that, NASL.TV stopped redirecting to the stream and Incontrol announced the brand new North American Starcraft League.

$400,000 in prizes. Based in LA. Large commentator roster. There are loads more details at the site so go check it out.

lucky, where can i watch the jinro v idra matches? is there a vod somewhere? were they good?
Spoiler
i love that jinro won again btw, i love it when idra gets beaten :P
not sure what i think about the NASL at the moment. I dont like that good players are leaving the GSL for it, that's for sure.

Sucks that we can't go to the studio to watch games. Rancho Cucamonga is a 15 minute drive from my house.

I will DEFINITELY be there for the finals. Waesnok... carpool? :D.

Depending on how many quality players participate in this it could be really amazing. Optimally NASL will create a good alternative to GOMTV in Korea and create a template of how to create an equally awesome league in Europe (and other continents for that matter).

Ultimately I feel like the level of competition will determine whether or not NASL will be a success. They have good casters and the production value seems good, so assuming they can get some good players, and not just have Idra crush through everyone, they should do very well.
I have a good gut feeling about the league, and I definitely envy you guys who get the chance to go and watch it live.

Just move to California. We can all rent a house and I won't have to deal with roommates anymore. Not a big deal :).

They were definitely good! I'm not sure where you can watch the vods, cause I watched it live. You might have luck checking IncontrolTV channel on justin.tv

At least we Aussies can watch the GSL at a reasonable hour (starts at 8pm for us), unlike you Yanks :)
